Developing a Character

​Developing a character for an actor is essential. There are many different methods of doing so. We asked the actor playing Laurie about this process and he said, “I always start by learning as much as I can from the book/script about my character, then I ask questions and create scenarios through different improv exercises.”
     Without doing this research, fully understanding the character you are in the the process of molding, you will not be able to genuinely take to the audience into whatever world you are are trying to create. That is why it is so important to Drama People that we use specific methods in developing a role.
